VAST/VACD Exhibition

Merit Award winning Adam, 11H x 14W inches graphite on paper, 21 x 25 inches framed will be on exhibit as part of VAST Connections, running from October 3rd through November 1st. Sponsored by the Visual Arts Society of Texas and the Visual Arts Coalition of Dallas, the exhibition will be held at the VACD Gallery in the Thompson Fine Arts, Inc. Building, 2902 Maple Avenue, Suite A , Dallas, TX. Gallery hours: Fri, Sat: 11a.m. – 5 p.m.

Highly skilled beautiful illustration, and very sweet. Sometimes it’s not easy to draw children as their faces do not have the character that a more mature face does.

Hi Chris, true that adult and childrens’ anatomy is totally different, but I think character is something shown at any age.. I prefer drawing children though – so much chub, ha! – and ooo, those cute little hands. I find drawing adults much more dificult. You, on the other hand, do both, and Surprise 1 in the Figurative section on your website is one of my favorites.
